Alecia Moore / P!nk, American pop-rock genre artist. This is a still image from her 2008 record So What showing her with a chainsaw cutting down a tree with her and her ex-lover's name on. It kind of reminds me of the horror film Texas Chainsaw Massacre, where the serial-killer kills off his victims chasing them with a chainsaw and making similar facial expressions as P!nk is in the still. In terms of location, the setting look like a rather peaceful rurual American front porch on a sunny day. Iconography is used to help the audience by challenging the stereotypical view of women being very erotic to her being quite manly. P!nk's costume in the still is simply a short sleeved stripy shirt with a blue apron type cloth on top, accessorised with some cool orange sunglasses. Her short white wild hairstyle along with the bright colours link with the genre pop-rock as its bright and trendy. Also her tattoos are interesting as their also strongly associated with rock music. Her masculine body language and what seems to be a heavy chainsaw is also very aggressive and rock like. The lighting doesn't nessasarily affect the mood or tone of the still, and is actually quite unexpect as P!nk's videos are usually quite dark and grungy.
